Hanafi-Maturidi Understanding of Religion-3
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 3:30 PM, the third seminar on the topic "Hanafi-Maturidi Understanding of Religion" was held for the instructors of the Quran study course for girls in Bishkek at the Faculty of Theology of KTMU. The speaker was Associate Professor Dr. Nail Karagoz, a faculty member of the Theology Department at KTMU.
During the seminar, the participants were introduced to the key principles of the Hanafi-Maturidi religious understanding, which holds significant importance in Islamic thought. Dr. Karagoz's presentation focused on topics such as the significance of Maturidism, its contribution to Islamic thought, the difference between tafsir and ta'wil, the relationship between ijtihad and nasikh, the understanding of pluralism, the concept of hikma, and the relevance of Maturidism in the modern world.
The goal of the seminar was to raise awareness about Hanafi-Maturidi thought and to provide a deeper understanding of its role in contemporary times.
